About our libraries
The Devon Recovery Learning Community Libraries
are a great resource, funded by a grant from Awards for All. They contain exciting books to inform, encourage and inspire people in their personal and professional lives. At a Recovery Library you’ll find recovery stories, self-help books, general information about recovery, mental health and many more.
Recovery Library Hubs and Drop-Ins
We run several Recovery Library Hubs and Drop-Ins and are looking to set up additional hubs all round Devon to serve as centres for recovery resources and information, as well as welcoming and creative places for arts and crafts, friendly support, a cuppa and a chat!
Activities are unique to each drop-in, but will usually involve arts, crafts, creative writing or similar easy-going activities among a friendly group.
DRLC Library is designed to be easy and friendly.
It’s free to join. You may take out up to 4 books at once and can renew them by phone.
You can join through this website or download a form and send it to us. If you sign-up online you automatically become a member of DRLC and can book courses online too. Alternatively you can come to a library session and sign-up there.
We also have an online library catalogue which you can sign up to. It means you can search for books, see a summary and reserve them online to collect later.
When you join you will have:
- membership to the library to borrow books
- access to the online catalogue to browse and reserve books
- membership to DRLC for courses, meaning you can login and book with one-click!
If you are already a member ‘offline’ you can sign-up here too. If you prefer, contact us and we can set-up an account for you.
The Library is open every Wednesday 1 – 3 pm
