These courses would suit people who have themselves already engaged with Mindfulness to some degree (even if their practice has lapsed and they would like to restart it). If you are interested but unsure whether to apply you are welcome to contact the tutors to discuss the course.
These longer mindfulness courses offer an introduction to Mindfulness and Mindfulness techniques to help people cope with stress, physical pain and challenging emotions such as anxiety, depression and fear. Mindfulness allows us to be ‘in the present moment’ by becoming more aware and intimate with our thoughts and feelings without becoming overwhelmed by them. It allows us to be more balanced and not so overwhelmed or distressed by our thoughts or the circumstances we find ourselves in.
This 6-week course will meet Thursdays on: 15th, 22nd, 29th March and 5th, 12th and 19th April
N.B. It will be necessary when you arrive at your course to complete a supplementary enrolment form for Learn Devon, the co-sponsors of this course. It would be very helpful, therefore, if you could arrive ten or fifteen minutes early to give yourself and the tutors time to do this paperwork.
