Tutors Stuart Crewes and Gilly Robinson

This course is for people with some manual dexterity, who will appreciate time for quiet, sociable activity and shared reflection.

The course is led by a collage artist. It is an introduction to a reflective practice behind a familiar activity. We will be using scissors and glue, mounting work on card. The course will move through stages, from pure responsive work to precise, crafted scenarios, via abstract and text-based workshops. Students will have a better grasp of the potential for collage and insight into the benefits of the practice for their own creative activity. We will be cutting, stamping and ripping magazines, gluing and discussing our work. The course will conclude with a walk-around exhibition to which friends may be invited.

This 5-week course will meet Tuesdays on: 15th, 22nd, 29th January, 5th and 12th February

Session 5 ONLY meets at: AWEsome Art Space, 27 Paris Street, Exeter, EX1 2JB
