This course is for people of all abilities to explore the knitting process in new ways that can promote wellbeing.
Knitting is easy and the knitting process is peaceful, calming, and meditative. Knitting involves a degree of concentration that can help us clear our minds of stress and anxiety, foster a sense of self-expression, and, whether you know it or not, slip into a meditative state, known as ‘flow’. For people who find other forms of meditation difficult, knitting can be the answer and become a part of a routine that promotes wellbeing. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced knitter, join us on this 6-week course where you can learn to knit, swop and share knitting skills, or knit in the quiet company of others. Tutors will introduce a range of knitting materials and techniques to encourage students to experiment with and explore knitting as a process that promotes peace and wellbeing.
This 6-week course will meet Thursdays on: 21st, 28th March, 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th April
This course is now fully booked. If you wish to be added to a waiting list in case of cancellations, please use this contact form and let us know.
